Heavy rains lashed parts of Rajasthan on Wednesday, with Jodhpur recording the highest rainfall of 90.6 mm.

According to sources from the Jaipur Meteorological Center, rainfall measurements from Wednesday morning to 5:30 pm recorded 90.6 mm in Jodhpur, 70 mm in Sirohi, 25 mm in Mount Abu, 22.5 mm in Karauli, 21 mm in Vanasthali, 19.2 mm in Barmer, and 10 mm in Anta.

The Meteorological Center Jaipur reported that the monsoon is likely to remain active in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next four to five days, with heavy rain activities continuing in some areas.

In the past 24 hours, heavy rains were recorded in Udaipur, Bhilwara, and Barmer districts.

The department notes that another low-pressure area is forming in the Bay of Bengal, which may lead to heavy and very heavy rains in Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, and Ajmer divisions on Wednesday.

Parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions may also experience moderate to heavy rains. Similarly, moderate to heavy rains are predicted in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions in western Rajasthan over the next three to four days, with persistent heavy rains expected in Jodhpur division.
