A tragic wave of Russian attacks on Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region has resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including an eight-year-old boy. Additionally, a missile strike on the central city of Dnipro took another life, according to regional governors.
Zaporizhzhia's regional governor, Ivan Fedorov, reported via the Telegram messaging app that two people were injured in these attacks, including a 12-year-old girl who is currently in intensive care. Over the past day, there were 313 attacks and shelling incidents across 11 settlements, causing significant damage to several buildings. This included a missile attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia, the administrative center of the region.
Late Monday, Russian forces launched missiles at Dnipro, resulting in one death and three injuries. Homes in one district were significantly damaged, Serhiy Lysak, the regional governor of Dnipropetrovsk, reported on Telegram. Reuters has not independently verified these reports, and there has been no immediate comment from Russia, which denies targeting civilians in its ongoing war.
