Revanth Reddy, who visited flood victims and held a review with ministers and officials at Khammam, confirmed that 16 people died and crops in lakhs of acres were damaged. Despite the government's preventive measures, the preliminary damage estimate stands at Rs 5,438 crore.

The Chief Minister has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting the declaration of a national calamity and urged the Centre to help Telangana. Immediate relief measures include Rs five lakh for families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for livestock loss, and Rs 10,000 per acre for crop damage. Additionally, Rs five crore immediate aid has been declared for flood-hit districts.
