Unprecedented Rainfall Devastates Andhra Pradesh
Nearly 4.5 lakh people have been affected by intense rainfall and flooding in Andhra Pradesh over the past three days, leading to mass evacuations and significant damage to property, infrastructure, and agriculture. Rescue operations are ongoing with multiple SDRF and NDRF teams in action.

Nearly 4.5 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh have been severely affected by unprecedented rainfall and flooding over the past three days, resulting in the evacuation of 31,238 individuals to 166 relief camps.
According to an official press release, the districts of NTR, Guntur, Krishna, Eluru, Palnadu, Bapatla, and Prakasam are the most affected. Twenty SDRF and 19 NDRF teams are currently engaged in relief and rescue operations, with additional teams en route to Vijayawada, the worst-hit area.
At the request of district administrations, the Indian Navy has also deployed helicopters for search and rescue missions. Damage includes the loss of livestock, damaged fishing boats, breached irrigation tanks, and disrupted infrastructure. The southern state is grappling to restore normalcy as 15 people have lost their lives due to the calamity.
