The Yettinahole project, aimed at providing water to seven Karnataka districts, will be dedicated to the public on September 6, announced Deputy Chief Minister and Irrigation Minister D K Shivakumar.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the project on Gauri Puja day, Shivakumar revealed at his Sadashivanagar residence.

'Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, and Hassan districts have eagerly awaited this project,' Shivakumar noted. 'Despite criticisms and forest land disputes, we've completed the project on a war footing. Water is temporarily being released to Vani Vilas Sagar dam,' he added.
