No injuries were recorded, though household items were destroyed, the officials confirmed. According to a representative from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the alarm about the fire was raised at 8:10 AM, prompting the dispatch of four fire tenders to the scene. The DFS official stated that it took the fire engines an hour to bring the blaze under control.
The preliminary investigation points to a short circuit in the flat as the possible cause. Further investigations are ongoing.
