Delhi Minister Gopal Rai has directed the principal secretary (environment) to ensure that the Real Time Source Apportionment infrastructure is fully operational before winter to combat air pollution.

In an effort to identify sources of air pollution and their contributions, the Delhi government partnered with IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, and TERI to conduct a detailed study.

Despite the government's plan and a cabinet decision in July 2021, there have been delays in making the necessary infrastructure fully functional. Rai emphasized the need for immediate action to gather precise data and implement effective mitigation measures.
