Light rainfall was witnessed in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, causing 73 road closures across the state, officials reported.

The local MeT office has issued warnings of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and lightning at isolated locations on Tuesday and Wednesday. Out of the 73 blocked roads, 35 are in Shimla, 20 in Mandi, nine in Kangra, six in Kullu, two in Kinnaur, and one in Una district, according to the state emergency operation centre.

Additionally, 53 power schemes were disrupted due to the rain. Since Friday evening, parts of the state have continued to experience light rainfall, notably Dharamshala with 38 mm and Solan with 36.8 mm. Since the start of the monsoon on June 27, 140 people have died in rain-related incidents, and the state has faced losses amounting to Rs 1,212 crore.
