Heavy rainfall exceeding 65 millimeters within 24 hours was recorded across 40 revenue circles in Maharashtra's Marathwada region, according to an official statement on Saturday.

The circles affected include areas in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Dharashiv, Nanded, Parbhani, and Hingoli districts. Notably, Limbgaon circle in Nanded reported the highest rainfall at 116.50 millimeters.

This significant rainfall has influenced the water storage levels in seven major irrigation projects in the region, which are now at 39.47% capacity. Dam-wise storage varies, with Jayayakwadi at 36.25% and Manar at 95.17%, among others, while some, like Sina Kolegaon and Majalgaon, are at dead storage levels.
