Search for Survivors in Sicily Yacht Tragedy
Rescue teams continue searching for six missing individuals from the sunken superyacht 'Bayesian' off Sicily. Among the missing are notable figures like British tech magnate Mike Lynch. The vessel, struck by a waterspout, sank, leading to a complex rescue operation at a 50-meter depth.

Rescue teams are tirelessly searching for six people missing in the sunken superyacht 'Bayesian' off the coast of Sicily, including British tech magnate Mike Lynch, recently acquitted of fraud charges. The yacht sank during a storm, believed to be triggered by a waterspout.
Fifteen out of twenty-two individuals aboard have survived, with one body recovered so far. The yacht lies at a daunting depth of 50 meters, necessitating stringent safety measures for divers, who can work in only 12-minute shifts.
Captain Karsten Borner, who rescued survivors, reported that the yacht disappeared after the storm. The rescue operation is slowed by the depth, tight spaces, and shifted furniture blocking access to below-deck cabins where the missing are believed to be trapped.
