Hurricane Ernesto Intensifies to Category 2 Approaching Bermuda
Hurricane Ernesto has escalated to a category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph as it nears Bermuda, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
Hurricane Ernesto has strengthened to a category 2 storm as it approaches Bermuda in the Atlantic Ocean, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Thursday.
Ernesto was located about 410 miles (660 km) south-southwest of Bermuda, packing maximum sustained winds of 100 mph (155 kph), the Miami-based forecaster said.
