Four individuals sustained injuries after a tiger strayed out of Rajasthan's Sariska National Park and attacked residents in the Khairthal-Tijara district on Thursday, officials reported.
The injured victims were taken to hospitals, while forest department teams are making efforts to tranquilize the tiger, designated 'ST 2303,' which wandered into farms near Darbarpur village, according to Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma.
Darbarpur's village development officer mentioned that the tiger's movements were traced near a local government school, prompting authorities to advise locals to avoid the area due to safety concerns. In response, a dedicated team is stationed in the area to tranquilize the tiger, and additional support has been summoned from Jaipur, Sharma noted.
A local resident described a chaotic scene as nearly 100 villagers gathered when a tiger was spotted. The tiger injured three individuals named Mahendra, Virendra, and Satish, with Satish suffering a severe arm injury. Earlier, the tiger had also attacked another man walking home in Mundawar, entering the village and hiding in the fields.
