Torrential Rains Cause Chaos in Rajasthan, Schools Shut & 22 Dead

Several districts in Rajasthan experienced heavy rainfall, leading to school closures and resulting in the deaths of 22 people over two days. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conducted an aerial survey of affected areas in Dausa, Karauli, and Bharatpur districts, while BJP leader Kirodi Lal Meena conducted a field survey and met with officials in Dausa.
The meteorological department has issued warnings for continued heavy rain, predicting substantial precipitation for Bharatpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, and Kota divisions. In eastern Rajasthan, additional rain is expected through Thursday and Friday. A red warning was declared for Baran, Bundi, Kota, and Tonk on Tuesday, with an orange alert for Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, and Karauli.
Due to incessant rain, several areas have been waterlogged, prompting National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams to rescue over 100 people. With flood-like conditions in Karauli and surrounding areas, daily life has been severely disrupted. Since August 11, rain-related incidents have claimed 22 lives in Rajasthan.
