The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will initiate a demolition drive on August 12 to clear 800 illegal structures in Bhalswa Dairy colony, a senior official announced on Thursday.
The MCD has identified the illegal encroachments and plans to move more than 400 dairies to Ghogha dairy on Delhi's outskirts. Public notices were issued earlier this week, giving a three-day ultimatum to vacate the premises.
So far, only 100 notices have been served, and the MCD aims to serve the remaining before commencing the demolition. The drive follows a Delhi High Court directive to curb unauthorized constructions and land misuse.
