The body of the deceased has been located but not yet recovered. The precarious condition of the building necessitates utmost caution from emergency responders. Firefighters and paramedics are on the scene, as the building's upper floor gave way around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

One rescue worker was observed carrying a barefoot woman out of the wreckage. Police evacuated 31 neighbors from nearby homes for their safety. The Moselle region is celebrated for its scenic towns and steep vineyard-laden riverbanks.
