With the intensity of rain tapering in Karnataka, district administrative officials have successfully implemented preemptive measures to control rain-related damages. Monitoring of water inflow and outflow into rivers and dams has been crucial in their strategy.

Belagavi's Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Roshan, cited the creation of a buffer in Almatti dam by releasing 3.25 cusec of water over four days. This preparation ensures readiness for further inflows from Maharashtra's heavy rains. As a result, 55 villages faced partial inundation, leading to the relocation of about 7,000 people to relief camps.

Uttara Kannada's Deputy Commissioner, K Lakshmi Priya, confirmed that reduced rains prevented school closures. She noted that while Gersoppa village might face flooding due to water release from Shivamogga, evacuation plans for 800 people were already in place.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre warned low-lying areas along River Bhadravati to move to safer places due to a significant water flow. Similarly, Koppal's Deputy Commissioner, Nalin Atul, highlighted preventive steps following water discharge warnings.

Widespread flooding reported in multiple regions disrupted infrastructure but was effectively managed. Health and district in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao emphasized coordinated responses and special emergency teams to address any eventualities.
