In the last 24 hours, Rajasthan witnessed heavy rainfall in several locations due to an active monsoon, according to a spokesperson from the Meteorological Department.

Notable rainfall measurements include 120 mm in Sarmathura of Dholpur, 96 mm in Bahadurpur of Alwar, 85 mm in Rajgarh, 75 mm in Shahpura of Jaipur, 66 mm in Alwar, and 51 mm in Goluwala of Hanumangarh.

From Wednesday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Churu recorded 36 mm of rain, Dungarpur 28.5 mm, Alwar 27.4 mm, Karauli 11.5 mm, and Mount Abu 11.6 mm. Meanwhile, the highest temperatures were noted in Phalodi (39.2°C), Jaisalmer (39°C), Barmer (39°C), and Bikaner and Ganganagar (37.3°C). Other major areas saw temperatures between 36.8°C and 30.4°C.

Radheshyam Sharma, in-charge of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, indicated that the low-pressure area over Madhya Pradesh has weakened, forming a circulation system on Wednesday, with the monsoon trough line passing through Bikaner and Sikar. Rain is expected to continue in parts of eastern Rajasthan and the Bikaner division over the next four to five days.
