Tornado Strikes Key Mead Johnson Warehouse
Reckitt announced that short-term sales of its Mead Johnson baby formula could be affected after a tornado severely damaged a crucial Indiana warehouse. The company has secured all employees and redirected deliveries to other facilities. Insurance is expected to mitigate the financial impact.
Reckitt said on Wednesday that short-term sales of its Mead Johnson baby formula might be impacted after a tornado caused severe damage to a third-party warehouse in Indiana.
The Mount Vernon facility, struck on July 9, plays a crucial role for Mead Johnson Nutrition, housing both raw materials and finished products. All employees are safe, and the company has redirected inbound deliveries to other U.S. warehouses.
Reckitt noted that comprehensive property damage and business interruption insurance should largely offset any earnings impact.
