State-owned NBCC Ltd has made significant strides in resolving parking and lift issues in their redeveloped residential complex at East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi, following heavy rainfall and drain blockages.
In a recent statement, NBCC admitted the challenges residents faced due to the severe downpour. It traced the problem to Barapullah drain's overflow, which led to water entering the colony's parking areas through ramps meant solely for vehicles.
The NBCC maintenance team effectively dewatered approximately 16 crore litres of water within a record 24 hours, using specially purchased dewatering motors. This quick action restored normal facilities for residents and maintained uninterrupted water and electricity supply throughout the flooding ordeal.
