Shiv Sena (UBT) Nominates Navandar and Patil for Maharashtra Council Elections
The Shiv Sena (UBT) has announced Vivek Navandar and Devyani Patil Dongaonkar as nominees for upcoming Maharashtra state council elections. The party's decision highlights key local body constituencies, with the elections slated for June 18 and the counting of votes scheduled for June 22.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) has revealed its candidates for the forthcoming state council elections in Maharashtra. Vivek Navandar will represent the Parbhani-Hingoli constituency, while Devyani Patil Dongaonkar will stand for the Aurangabad-Jalna seat.
Ambadas Danve announced the nominations on social media, asserting Uddhav Thackeray's dedication to strategic participation in the elections. Navandar currently leads the party's Parbhani city unit, which uniquely boasts a Shiv Sena (UBT) mayor. Dongaonkar, a former zilla parishad president, bolsters the party's presence in Aurangabad-Jalna.
Scheduled for June 18, the upcoming elections will fill 16 seats from Local Self-Government bodies, alongside a bypoll in Nagpur. Candidates must file nominations by June 1, with scrutiny on June 2 and withdrawal by June 4. Vote counting will occur on June 22.
The party is working closely with the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition on seat-sharing, securing six out of 17 seats, while Congress and NCP (SP) take the remainder.
