The event, held at Vidhan Soudha, was attended by senior members and AICC representatives K C Venugopal and Randeep Singh Surjewala, who emphasized the unity within the party despite the change in leadership.
Dinesh Gundu Rao praised the transition as an emotional and memorable occasion, reflecting unity and collaboration among key party figures, including Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar. Meanwhile, discussions on forming the new council of ministers continue, with aspirations to focus on Karnataka's socio-economic development and the target to regain power in 2028.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has extended an invitation to Shivakumar to take the oath as chief minister on June 3 at the Lok Bhavan premises. This marks a new chapter for the state congress, committed to its developmental agenda and internal harmony.
