On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized the operation's success in showcasing India's military prowess. Conducted from May 7-10, 2025, the operation saw coordinated strikes against terrorist and military targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Responding to the April 22, 2025, terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, Operation Sindoor served as a demonstration of India's capability and determination to swiftly retaliate against threats.
Sarma stated that the operation was a clear warning to anti-India elements to desist from aggressive acts, highlighting India's ability to 'identify, track and punish' those who would threaten the nation.
