In the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections held on April 23, the Election Commission of India announced a remarkable voter turnout of 85.10%, with a total of 4,87,98,833 votes cast. This crucial election saw participation from 2,52,59,596 female voters, 2,35,34,720 male voters, and 4,517 transgender voters.

Karur constituency stood out with an impressive 93.41% voter turnout, closely followed by Veerapandi in Salem district at 93.36%. On the other end of the spectrum, Killiyoor in Kanyakumari district registered the lowest participation at 71.26%.
