National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday to discuss the enhancement of the comprehensive strategic partnership and to evaluate the regional situation. The Indian Embassy highlighted that Doval conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the official visit.
The talks focused on measures to deepen strategic ties and explore mutual interests around regional issues. Prior to this, Doval engaged with senior Saudi leaders to discuss similar themes, including bilateral relations and regional stability.
Doval's strategic visit to the UAE occurred amidst uncertain circumstances surrounding the potential second round of peace talks between the US and Iran, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently visiting Pakistan to engage in discussions presumably aimed at advancing these efforts.
