Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir on Sunday, marking his second visit to Pakistan in three days amid uncertain progress in peace talks with the US. This visit came after discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior officials.

Araghchi's diplomatic tour began in Oman, where he consulted with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said on security in the Strait of Hormuz and efforts to resolve the Iran-US conflict. His next destination is Moscow. Despite the strategic importance of his visit, no official statement has been issued by Pakistan regarding the ongoing peace efforts.

The US, meanwhile, has opted for a different strategy, with President Trump asserting the US's strong negotiating position and canceling planned talks in Islamabad. In Pakistan, heightened security measures have been implemented, affecting traffic flows in Islamabad during the high-level visit.
