In a sharp criticism, BJP Kerala president Rajeev Chandrasekhar accused the CPI(M) of misusing the state machinery to launch attacks against BJP party workers. According to Chandrasekhar, this move reflects the CPI(M)'s frustration over its anticipated defeat in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Chandrasekhar expressed his determination to counter these actions legally, asserting that such misuse of power will not be tolerated by the BJP, India's largest party. Speaking after a visit to a BJP worker allegedly assaulted by police, he emphasized the need to uphold democratic systems over violence.
Addressing the media, Chandrasekhar voiced his opposition to the targeting of BJP leaders like R Sreelekha and vowed that these actions will cease after May 4. He reiterated the importance of maintaining democratic principles, distinguishing India from countries like Russia or China.
