In a bold prediction, senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has forecasted a decisive victory for the saffron party in the West Bengal elections, asserting that they could win 125 of the 152 seats contested in the first phase. Adhikari highlighted the unprecedented voter turnout of 91.78% as a key indicator of the BJP's rising influence.

Adhikari, who is also contesting from Nandigram and Bhabanipur, praised the Election Commission for maintaining order during the voting process, which unfolded across 16 districts. According to him, the BJP enjoys a substantial majority from Hindu voters, while noting a consolidation of minority votes against the ruling party.
