The AAP has taken a strong stance against Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, accusing him of neglecting Punjab's critical issues in Parliament discussions. According to a joint statement by Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, state AAP president Aman Arora, and party leader Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Chadha's failure to act contradicts the party's ethos.
Cheema emphasized that Chadha, elected by Punjab MLAs, failed to highlight urgent financial concerns, including pending Rural Development Fund dues and GST-related losses, totaling billions. These omissions were deemed disappointing, given the party's emphasis on vocal representation of public interests at the national level.
Beyond financial matters, the lack of parliamentary discussion on the relief efforts following last year's floods has stirred discontent among affected residents. AAP leaders stressed the importance of addressing such issues consistently, reflecting the people's mandate and holding the government accountable.
