BJP leader Nitin Nabin on Friday accused Congress of pandering to 'infiltrators' and urged voters to remember its past governance failures in the Assam Assembly elections. Speaking at rallies in Kamalpur and Mangaldai, he expressed confidence that the BJP-led NDA would secure a third consecutive term under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

'The Congress opened the gates for infiltrators, compromising our lands for vote bank politics. During their tenure, women and land were not safe,' Nabin stated. He highlighted the BJP government's efforts in reclaiming land and initiating development projects, noting the last decade as a period of growth in Assam.

Nabin criticized former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his infrequent visits to the Northeast, contrasting it with PM Narendra Modi's frequent engagements. He alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi disrespected Assamese culture, and emphasized BJP's commitment to national security and regional identity.
