German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Thursday that any initiatives to enter negotiations on peace in Ukraine are welcome but he reiterated that Kyiv and Europe must be involved. "All negotiations regarding a ceasefire, and indeed any further peaceful development in Ukraine, can only be discussed and negotiated with Ukraine," he said ahead of a foreign affairs council meeting in Brussels.
"And Europe will have to be involved," he added.
