Bihar Gears Up for Elections with Over 7.4 Crore Voters

Over 7.4 crore people, including 14 lakh first-time voters, are set to vote in the Bihar Assembly elections. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar assured the elections will be transparent and peaceful, with strict measures against violence. There are 90,712 polling stations planned across the state.

Over 7.4 crore individuals are entitled to cast their votes in the impending Bihar Assembly elections, with 14 lakh being first-time voters, as declared by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Monday.

The CEC has promised that the Bihar elections will be held transparently and peacefully. He confirmed that Bihar has a total of 7.42 crore voters, consisting of 3.92 crore males and 3.5 crore females. Additionally, 14 lakh first-time voters and 4 lakh senior citizens are included in the electoral roll.

An impressive number of 90,712 polling stations are being established across Bihar. Kumar emphasized there is zero tolerance for violence, and the administration has been directed to ensure no threats are posed to voters or candidates.
