In a sharp critique, Congress' Maharashtra MLA Vijay Wadettiwar questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) electoral achievements, attributing their victories to the backing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The remarks came as Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepared to attend the centenary celebrations of the RSS in Nagpur, marking his first visit to their headquarters in 12 years.
Wadettiwar highlighted the significance of the event and pointed out the simultaneous launch of Saugat-e-Modi kits across the nation. He suggested this marks an ideological shift within the RSS, transitioning from a past of divisive rhetoric to a broader, unified approach. "For 100 years, they used to talk about division, and now I hope they talk about going ahead together," Wadettiwar stated.
On Sunday, March 30, PM Modi is scheduled to visit key locations in Nagpur including the RSS's Smruti Mandir, Deekshaboomi, and Madhav Netralaya. He will also inaugurate infrastructure projects like the Loitering Munition Testing Range at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited. Additionally, the Prime Minister will travel to Chhattisgarh on the same day, according to a release from the PMO.
