Tamil Nadu's Linguistic Stand: Udhayanidhi Stalin Defends Dual-Language Policy

Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin affirmed that the state would resist the imposition of Hindi, standing strong under Chief Minister M K Stalin's leadership. He commended the CM for switching the rupee symbol to the Tamil 'Ru' in the state Budget, defending their dual-language policy.
During a session disrupted by opposition party AIADMK's protest, Udhayanidhi announced a series of rural development initiatives, emphasizing a new phase of the 'Vazhndhu Kattuvom' project, backed by the World Bank, and a budget of Rs 1,000 crore.
The announcements included skill training for 42,000 rural youth, launching 2,500 community skill training schools, and funding self-help groups, highlighting the government's commitment to rural transformation.
