A political drama erupted during a government press conference in Hapur on Friday as a disagreement over serving tea led to a heated exchange between BJP MLA Vijaypal Aadhati and Assistant Development Officer Bishan Saxena, officials confirmed.

The altercation began when Saxena allegedly refused to arrange tea, prompting District Magistrate to transfer him. Aadhati, however, demanded more stringent action, accusing Saxena of using offensive language against top leaders.

Saxena defended his position, emphasizing his seniority and objected to serving tea repeatedly. The MLA insisted on taking the matter to the Chief Minister, arguing both the BDO and ADO should face severe consequences.
