Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan sustained a head injury on Thursday while paying tribute to martyred soldier Arjun Laxman Baviskar in Jalgaon district.

Video footage of Mahajan receiving treatment at a local hospital quickly went viral on social media platforms.

The incident occurred when Mahajan struck his head on an iron rod while climbing onto an army truck to pay his respects. Despite bleeding from his injury, Mahajan carried on with his floral tribute to the fallen soldier. Later, he was treated at Nimjai Hospital by Dr. Nilesh Patil, accompanied by several local leaders.

After his treatment, Mahajan expressed his condolences to the soldier's family, reaffirming the state government's support. Undeterred by his injury, he partook in the funeral procession to Tiranga Circle before departing to Nashik for a scheduled meeting.
