In a vociferous address to the Telangana Assembly, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accused the BRS government of politically motivated actions, referencing his 2020 detention. Reddy recalled being imprisoned for 16 days in Cherlapally jail over flying a drone, alleging that he was treated unjustly and barred from personal events, such as his daughter's wedding.

The CM contended that the opposition would have faced imprisonment had he retaliated similarly, highlighting his decision to avoid vindictive actions. He described enduring harsh conditions in jail and emphasized that his political mandate was not to engage in revengeful politics.

In contrast, BRS working president KT Rama Rao, during a heated Assembly session, urged decorum and underlined democracy's need for candid discourse. He cautioned that opposition scrutiny of unfulfilled governmental promises could lead to allegations against the ruling party.
