Gaurav Gogoi, Congress's deputy leader, criticized the politicization surrounding Gandhi's right to speak.
The INDIA bloc, including parties like DMK, TMC, and SP, argued that the current ruling side was violating House traditions. They emphasized how the convention of allowing the Leader of Opposition to speak has been frequently ignored, hurting democratic debate.
Opposition leaders also highlighted other issues, such as the lack of a deputy speaker since 2019 and neglect of adjournment motions, urging Speaker Birla to ensure fairness and transparency in parliamentary proceedings.
