Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has urged Members of Parliament to contribute their opinions on the 'one nation, one election' proposal to the parliamentary committee examining related legislation.
During a session in the House, Birla disclosed that numerous young MPs have discussed the idea with him in individual meetings covering various topics. He highlighted their compelling logic and viewpoints on the matter.
Birla emphasized the importance of bringing these discussions to the Joint Committee of Parliament, chaired by BJP MP and former Union Minister P P Chaudhary, to ensure a comprehensive review of the proposal.
