Turkey has dismissed international criticism regarding the arrest of former Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, labeling it as "prejudiced," according to Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc.
Speaking during a press meeting in Istanbul, Tunc called for European countries to act with common sense concerning the incident, emphasizing Turkey's stance.
Opposition groups, including the Republican People's Party and various international bodies, argue the charges are politically driven to eliminate Imamoglu as an electoral threat to President Tayyip Erdogan, a claim the government refutes.
