Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M K Stalin took a sharp jab at his Uttar Pradesh counterpart, Yogi Adityanath, describing Yogi's remarks on the ongoing language dispute as a form of 'political black comedy'. Stalin maintained that Tamil Nadu is not against any language but resists its imposition and related chauvinism.
The Tamil Nadu leader highlighted the state's stance on maintaining a two-language policy and fair delimitation, which he claimed is resonating across the country, unsettling the BJP. Accusing Yogi of hypocrisy, Stalin dismissed the Uttar Pradesh leader's alleged advice on avoiding hate politics, asserting that Tamil Nadu's battle is for dignity and justice, not electoral gains through division.
In response, BJP state president K Annamalai accused Stalin of hypocrisy, alleging that the Tamil Nadu leader's family profits from private schools that teach multiple languages, contrary to their opposition for government schools. Annamalai suggested Stalin is out of touch, diverting attention through orchestrated controversies.
