Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has condemned recent CBI raids at his residences as politically motivated. In a fiery reaction, former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has labeled the CBI raids on his residences as a politically driven agenda intended to furnish material for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to the state on March 30.
Baghel has denied receiving prior notice of the raids on his official residence in Raipur, concerning the Rs 6,000 crore Mahadev app scam. He contends that neither he nor his family were responsible for items allegedly planted by the CBI.
The Congress leader emphasized that during his tenure, strict actions were taken against the Mahadev betting app, including numerous FIRs and arrests. As central agencies continue their scrutiny, Baghel asserts these actions are orchestrated attempts to malign his reputation.
