In a political row that heated the Maharashtra legislative council, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve voiced criticisms against the BJP's selective outrage over comedian Kunal Kamra's satire. While the BJP remained unmoved by direct critiques from Kamra targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party was quick to react to a parody song that didn't mention Eknath Shinde by name.
Ambadas Danve accused the BJP of deflecting attention from substantial issues by stirring up trivial controversies. He highlighted that serious discussions on public matters often get derailed by less significant topics whipped up by the ruling coalition to scuttle debate. Danve emphasized that order and decorum in the legislative council are the responsibilities of the ruling party, which he claims have been lacking.
Amidst the continuing row, Danve also pointed fingers at several ministers embroiled in criminal charges, lamenting the neglected development projects in areas like Buldhana. The leader expressed that rising public disputes involving personalities like Rahul Solapurkar only served as further distractions from critical governance debates.
