An RSS functionary on Wednesday suggested that the violence in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, during a celebration rally for the Indian cricket team's ICC Champions Trophy victory was a premeditated conspiracy. Authorities reported that clashes erupted on March 9 in Indore district after stones were thrown at a procession.
Prakash Shastri, the RSS's Malwa division head, expressed suspicions about the violence, asserting that the attack was part of a larger scheme. He indicated that the attackers were strategically prepared. When queried about the police handling of the incident, Shastri expressed a wait-and-watch approach regarding the investigation's outcome.
Shastri also discussed the importance of shedding outdated mentalities and misconceptions about the RSS being "anti-Muslim." He highlighted that the organization's ethos is inclusive of all societal sections.
