Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that the government will carefully evaluate the petition from Cooperation Minister K N Rajanna, who reported a honeytrap attempt, and will act decisively within legal constraints.

Rajanna filed the petition on Tuesday, urging an investigation and appropriate measures against the alleged threat. Parameshwara emphasized that complaints aren't filed directly with him but assured that the government would take the matter seriously.

The matter was highlighted in the Karnataka Assembly by Rajanna, revealing numerous politicians allegedly targeted by similar traps. This revelation has provoked significant political turmoil, encouraging opposition demands for a judicial inquiry by a High Court judge.
