Election Commission Launches Landmark Training for Boots-on-the-Ground Officers

The Election Commission has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative by launching a training program for over one lakh booth-level officers. This first-of-its-kind training aims to equip these local poll functionaries with the skills necessary to handle scenario-based situations effectively.

In this inaugural session, booth-level officers from Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam are partaking in a two-day program designed to enhance their capabilities. Upon completing the training, these officers will serve as assembly-level master trainers, fortifying the nationwide network of electoral officers.

This phased training initiative prioritizes states with upcoming elections. Additionally, it incorporates IT applications to aid in an error-free collection of electoral rolls, a critical step in maintaining the integrity of the electoral process. The program underscores the Commission's commitment to supporting its 100 crore electors.
