The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised serious accusations against the Uttar Pradesh government, led by CM Yogi Adityanath, suggesting that it is encouraging alcoholism through an alleged 'one plus, one free' liquor scheme.
Questions have been raised as to why no immediate action has been taken by the ruling BJP against liquor shops distributing free alcohol bottles, particularly as videos of long lines outside these outlets circulate widely on social media.
Addressing the media, Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj challenged the state government's silence and action, urging clarity on whether this initiative had official approval from BJP's central leadership. He demanded prompt investigation into potential irregularities surrounding the liquor distribution scheme.
