In a pointed critique, Jan Suraaj Party leader Prashant Kishor has called for a medical bulletin on the mental health of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Kishor suggested that Kumar's apparent shielding from public appearances is meant to protect him from scrutiny regarding his mental state.
During a press conference in Sheikhpura district, Kishor claimed that Kumar's odd behaviour has persisted over the years, citing his failure to acknowledge ongoing agitations and forgetting the names of cabinet colleagues. This behaviour, Kishor alleged, raises concerns initially flagged by Kumar's late aide Sushil Modi in 2023.
Kishor sarcastically remarked that an official medical bulletin would dispel the public's doubts, though he doubted Kumar would agree to one. The situation sheds light on the internal challenges within the JD(U) and the scrutiny faced by its leadership.
