In a fiery attack during Tuesday's session of the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Praniti Shinde took aim at the BJP-led central government and the Maharashtra administration, accusing them of sidestepping essential issues concerning farmers.
Shinde claimed that her microphone was turned off when she questioned the alarming rates of farmer suicides and deaths during farmer protests in Maharashtra, asserting that the state government prioritizes trivial matters over agricultural grievances.
The parliamentary session was marked by protests from TMC and Congress members, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, opposing the central government's handling of the MNREGA scheme. Congress MP KC Venugopal lambasted the Centre, alleging efforts to dismantle the program and highlighting the hardship faced by unpaid MNREGA workers in Kerala.
