On Tuesday, chaos ensued in the Bihar assembly as RJD members vehemently protested against the ruling NDA's perceived inability to restore 65% quotas for disadvantaged castes. The opposition members attempted to overturn furniture, expressing their discontent with the government's actions.

During Question Hour, calm prevailed, but tensions flared in Zero Hour when RJD legislator Akhtarul Islam Shahin raised the issue of the adjournment motion concerning quota hikes. The hikes were implemented in 2023 but later invalidated by the Patna High Court. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary asserted that the government acted based on a caste survey showing a rise in backward class populations.

Despite Chaudhary's defense, opposition demands for new legislation to safeguard quotas from judicial review intensified. They urged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to leverage his influence for constitutional protection of reservation laws. Assembly Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav intervened to restore order, warning of action against unruly members captured on CCTV.
