Union minister Chirag Paswan has blamed Congress and its Bihar ally, the RJD, for the plight of Muslims. He accused these parties of exploiting the community as a 'vote bank.'

Speaking at an Iftaar event attended by NDA partners, including Bihar's CM Nitish Kumar, Paswan criticized Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind's leader, Maulana Arshad Madani, for boycotting NDA events in a protest against certain political stances.

Paswan emphasized the need for harmony by hosting Iftaar gatherings, while respecting Maulana Madani's views. He argued that Congress and RJD bear responsibility due to their prolonged rule, citing the Sachar Committee report on Muslims' condition.
